Questions I get asked.

How long does a brand identity project take?

Typically 8-12 weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on complexity and feedback speed. I don't rush the strategy phase, it's the foundation everything else is built on. A standalone strategy takes 3-4 weeks.

Why should I hire one person instead of an agency?

Because you get the senior person doing the work, not just selling it. At an agency, the creative director presents the pitch, then hands the project to a junior. With me, the person in the strategy session is the same person designing your logo. No handoffs, no dilution, no communication gaps. You get 20+ years of experience applied directly to your brand.

What if I only need strategy, not the full identity?

That's exactly what the Brand Strategy is for. You'll get a documented strategy covering your positioning, messaging, audience, and brand personality. Some clients use it to brief their in-house team. Others come back for the full identity once they've seen the strategic clarity. Either way, the strategy stands on its own.

Do you work with startups or only established businesses?

I do my best work with founders who've already proven their business model, typically £500K+ in revenue. At that stage, you've outgrown your early branding and the investment makes strategic sense. If you're pre-revenue, my honest advice is to focus that budget on validating your product first.

What does "from £5,000" actually mean?

It means most projects fall in the £5,000–£8,000 range depending on complexity, number of sub-brands, and collateral requirements. After our discovery call, I'll give you a fixed quote, no surprises, no scope creep. The 50% deposit secures your slot, with the balance on completion.

Do you design websites?

I design and build websites in Webflow, but only for clients I've done brand identity work with. There's a reason for that: the brand system I create is designed to extend into web, and I'm the best person to make sure that translation is seamless. When someone else builds your site, things can drift, the type gets swapped, the spacing changes, the colour gets approximated.

You get 30 days of support included, any questions about applying the brand, reviewing materials, or briefing your team. Beyond that, many clients keep me on a lighter basis for ongoing brand support as they grow. My longest client relationship is four years and counting.
